The studio at Larkin Art & Co exists to bring the stories of the culture into the public square.

We believe that the streets, the parks, and the shared spaces of our cities should reflect the people who live there. History, memory, pride, and spirit deserve to be seen in the open air, not hidden away.

Through painting, murals, sculpture, and public monuments, Shabazz Larkin and his studio work to harness the creative energy of the American South and transform it into works that carry the voices of community.

Each project begins with listening. Listening to the history of the people. Listening to the people who call it home in the present. The goal is not personal expression alone, but the creation of something larger—art that belongs to the community that surrounds it.

The studio is currently opening a limited number of commissions for murals, public artworks, and portrait projects.

If you are interested in working together to bring a story into the public square, we invite you to reach out.

This s a Nashville-based studio that works between painting, murals, sculpture and public art. His practice centers on telling cultural stories—honoring the past, reflecting the present, and creating images that feel rooted in community and lived experience.
